Meet our team

Dr. Harry Jenkins is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. He attended Hampton University, where he majored in pre-med and received his bachelor's degree in biology. Dr. Jenkins then attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He completed a general practice residency at Hubbard Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, where he served as chief resident. Upon returning home, he began his career at Jenkins Dental Group, working alongside his father, Dr. Harry L. Jenkins. From there, he took a position at Coast Dental in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, Virginia. Dr. Jenkins later purchased this practice and became its owner and sole proprietor in April 2004. During this time, Dr. Jenkins has been active in his community. He has provided dental care to several nursing homes in the area and volunteered in numerous health clinics. Dr. Jenkins has also served on the Foundation Board of Chesapeake Regional Hospital, is a past president of the John L. McGriff Dental Society, and is a member of the Old Dominion Dental Society and the Chesapeake/Virginia Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

In addition to his collegiate studies, Dr. Elfar completed an advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD), residency, and a diploma in endodontics and operative dentistry. He has also completed several comprehensive implant programs. Dr. Elfar is a proud and active member of the American Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
